- The recruiting process timeline - what the S-A should be doing and when
- brief review of the Gr. 10 timeline
- detailed overview of the Gr. 11 timeline - S-A’s must ensure they have taken and are in the correct courses
- to meet the NCAA Eligibility Centre academic requirements
- to determine if they could be an NCAA ‘early academic qualifier’ - S-A’s updating their profile on the NCAA Eligibility Centre website
- Preparing for the SAT/ACT test
- Registering for the SAT/ACT test
- Writing the SAT/ACT test
- Coaches can contact you September 1 of Grade 11 – did you receive any emails from coaches
- Marketing process – establish and continue correspondence with coaches of schools on your list
- Are the schools on your list the ‘right fit’ for you
- Establish new contacts and schools to add to your list if need be
- How to plan 3 – 5 unofficial visits
- What to discuss with the coaches while on an unofficial visit
- When should the discussion around scholarship dollars occur
- How to know if you should attend Junior days/camps/clinics etc. that you may be invited to
- Learn about verbal commitments
- Understanding the NLI (National Letter of Intent) and official signing periods
